Air Brake "Z" Endorsement

Air Brakes are used on all heavy-duty and a few medium‐duty vehicles. The air braking system is essentially a series of valves forcing compressed air through the vehicle system to generate a constant supply of air which is then used to apply the brakes. This entire system is very powerful, and appropriate safety methods must be used to learn how to use this system and avoid its potential hazards.

Air Brake Course
 

Air Brake Endorsement is required on a driver’s license to operate any air brake-equipped motor vehicle. Our airbrake endorsement course is approved by the Ontario Safety League.

Duration: 12 to 16 hours

Certification: Issued by Ontario Safety League

RENEWING YOUR Z ENDORSEMENT:

To renew your Z endorsement, you only need to take the applicable knowledge test. No practical test is required unless you are 80 or older.

Once you reach age 80, you will need to take annual knowledge and practical air brake tests.
